Evaporated Harbour is a new public artwork, made especially for the Kushui Art Festival in Changsha. It consists of three thick nautical ropes that rise from the ground finishing with anchors that point up to the sky.
The work is situated on a seasonally dry river bank amidst a field of plants that have spiky seeds. Visitors to the artwork will leave with a number of them attached to their clothing. Evaporated Harbour is on display as part of the group show Kushui an open air exhibition of public sculpture in Changsha, till the end of February.
